1841 Census Images - Stepping Stones Range
We are pleased to be able to offer our customers, boxed sets of CDs containing images of the 1841 census returns supplied by 'Stepping Stones' a reliable UK publisher.
The images are of pages from the census return filled in by the enumerator at the actual time of the census. These images are taken from film which itself was made early in the last century from the original paper returns, therefore some pages are not as clear as others. However these are the best images available and after a little practice they are fairly easy to read.
