Using Memory Sticks for Data Storage
This has got to be the best method of backing up your family history. It is so easy to use and the ample storage capacity means that you will be able to store all those valuable images of family, certificates and even those census returns you have been painstakingly downloading off the internet.

Transfer your data between PCs, Notebooks and MACs. Perfect for moving files between home, office and school/college. You can move, save, copy, delete and run files from the USB Drive in the same way you would from your PC's hard drive.

Remember floppy discs. Well a 4GB USB memory stick holds more data than 3000 floppies or almost as much as 6 CDs. However the real difference is the ease of use. Just plug it in and hey presto you have the convenience of a hard drive. Create directories and save files to it just like you do on your 'C' drive. Overwrite or delete in just the same way.

Great for just transferring data between computers (or cousins).

TIP If you use a laptop as well as a desktop PC then we recommend keeping your main file and images on this USB drive so that it is available for use on either computer. Use your computers to hold back ups after each session working on your family history.
