Product Description
The directory, a slim volume of some 57 pages, was originally published in 1789 by John Norman. The copy used for scanning, however, was from a limited run of 950 facsimile copies published in 1904 by Sampson & Murdock of Boston. The original book is fragile and partially disbound but is complete and even includes the map. In addition to an alphabetical list of residents (supplemented by a short list of Errors & Omissions at the end of the book) the directory contains details of: Public Offices; Barristers & Attornies at Law; Physicians & Surgeons and Engine-Men.
Some of the scanned pages appear not to be straight and/or printed very close to the edge. This is a feature of the original book rather than the scanning process.
