The directory is bounded by advertisements at front and rear which have been presented on the download with the Preface. This is followed by 90 pages of information about Westmorland as a whole. There then follow sections for the four wards (East, West, Kendal and Lonsdale) in which information is organised by Township within Parish. Some breaks between sections occur part way down a page; in these cases the pages in question have been displayed in both sections. The index of places was missing when we obtained the directory but that is compensated for by comprehensive navigation links. When we obtained the directory, the county map had suffered a number of tears and significant creasing. The map is also too large to scan in a single piece on an A3 scanner. It has, therefore, been scanned and presented as four overlapping tiles.
