"Extente" is a Middle English word, coming from Anglo-Norman and meaning "assessment on land".
This publication contains details of all the Jersey people who were assessed as liable for paying taxes to the monarch, James I, in 1607.
The copy from which the download was scanned was published by the Societe Jersiaise in 1880; it is in English and contains both a General Index and Index of Persons.

The places covered are St Martin, Groville, St Clement, St Saviour, St Hellier, The Trinity, St John, St Laurence, St Brelade, St Peter, St Marie, St Owen and St Germins.
