Product Description
Unusually for these directories, the map has survived. This means that the directory is complete and comprises: Official Information; Street Directory; Private Residents (alphabetical list of); Commercial Directory (alphabetical list of); Ham Directory; Professional and Trades Directory.
The area covered is roughly from Kew Bridge and the River Thames on the north to Ham on the south, and from Sheen Common and Richmond Park on the east to Isleworth on the west.
When we obtained the directory, the street map had suffered significant creasing and tearing. Repair of the tears using sellotape has resulted in "shadows" across parts of the scans. The map is too large to scan in a single piece on an A3 scanner so has been scanned as four overlapping tiles and is presented in that fashion.
Some of the scanned pages appear not to be straight. This is a feature of the original book rather than the scanning process.
