Product Description
As with many of these directories, the map was missing from the copy used for scanning when we obtained it. There was also damage to four pages in the Private Residents section, but reference to the Street Directory has made it possible to identify all the entries affected and include notes of them at the appropriate places.
The remainder of the directory is complete and comprises: Wood Green Topography; Public officers & offices; Parochial information; Churches, chapels, institutions &c; Street Directory; Private Residents (alphabetical list of); Commercial Directory (alphabetical list); Professional and Trades Directory.
The area covered is roughly from Shaw Wood, Church Wood & East Barnet Road on the north to Alexandra Palace & Park on the south, and from the London County Mental Hospital on the west to Bush Hill & Firs Lane on the east.
Some of the scanned pages appear not to be straight.
This is a feature of the original book rather than the scanning process.
