The guide is scanned from the 1890 (Part 1) and 1893 (Part 2) editions originally published by Dulau & Co. Part 1 covers The East Coast, York and the country between the N.E. Main Line and the sea plus the Cathedral and Castle of Durham. Part 2 covers the West and part of North Ridings and all parts of the country West of the N.E. Main Line plus Barnard Castle and Teesdale. In addition to containing the full text of the two books and 150 pages of advertisements, the download contains scans of the thirty maps and plans contained in the original books. These include city/town plans of York, Whitby, Scarborough, Bradford, Sheffield as well a map of Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales.
